I waited in line for an hour this a.m. to gas up the minivan. First time I’ve paid over $3.9999 per gallon, but at least it was for premium — which was all that was left by the time my turn rolled around.

The fabulous employees of the local QT (*love* the QT) were incredibly helpful, always polite, trying to keep their cool amongst the chaos. Actually, I heard a few honks and rude tones of voice, but no actual altercation or line bullying. People were taking turns very nicely, thank you.
Most especially, thanks to the Car Talk bros for entertaining me during my wait. Tom and Ray made it actually enjoyable.
