Beach food: chard

DSCF7389I learned how to say it (“ch” as in “chair” rather than in “champagne”), cook it and eat it. Sarah Mims, on the other hand, grew it, washed it and cooked it.

I had never eaten chard before and it’s my new favorite veggie. I didn’t expect it to be so deliciously spinachy. And what a beautiful green once it was cooked — even  in a metal pot. Wonder what it would look like in a glass one?DSCF7397

  1. I eat swiss chard all the time . I am guessing its the exact same thing. Either this , the red, or more likely the rainbow.. just wonderful fast cooking green that really soaks up what ever flavors you put with it.
