Eat your veggies

At Waterhaven, it's all about that flan, really (zucchini and spinach, today). Though the grilled squash was delicious and the acorn squash a very nice change of pace.

Lunch (you’ll never guess)

the prettiest and tastiest yet from Watershed: lady peas, fingerling potatoes, sweet potatoes, a leek (I think) with herbed cheese, zucchini flan

Another day, another veggie plate

Waterhaven: that's a fried squash blossom, stuffed with soft cheese and spice. The flan was sweet corn and fennel, I think.

My vote for most beautiful new vegetable plate

My lunch yesterday at WaterHaven, in the Globe’s former location.

$10. What a bargain.

Teeny tiny peas (lady?), grilled zucchini, some sort of “hearty green, like Kale” (I forgot the name), grilled onion salad with capers, and — are you ready for this? — shitake mushroom and spinach flan. It was like buttah, I tell you, and I live for the next time I eat it.

Alison had one, too.
